There are 26 one bedroom units ranging from 700 to 1400 square feet, 19 two bedroom units ranging from 978 to 1800 Square Feet, and 12 three bedroom units ranging from 1375 to 1575 Square Feet. All units have high ceiling and polished concrete floors. In addition, each unit is furnished with washer and dryer, frost-free refrigerator with ice maker, microwave and disposal. Water, trash and sewage are paid by the complex so tenant is only responsible for electric and telephone.
One unique feature the Behrens Lofts has is the magnetic lock controlled access feature and monitoring cameras in the lobby, as well as on the parking lots. The building has magnetic locks that are controlled by computer software that locks all the doors and elevators between the hours of 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. Monday through Saturday and are locked all day Sunday. These entries are inoperable without an authorized magnetic key. In addition, the tenants may also view the call box from their television set and speak with the person buzzing from the call box.
